Our Environmental Statement Francotyp-Postalia is committed to carrying out its business operations in a manner that minimises, and wherever possible, eliminates harmful impacts on the environment whilst making the most efficient use of natural resources. Its core business operation is continually reviewed to ensure that its processes result in minimal environmental impact and the prevention of pollution. In setting its own environmental emission objectives and targets via its management system the company ensures that any emissions waste or usage of natural resources are controlled, monitored and reviewed so as to ensure that it continues to improve its environmental performance wherever there is the potential to do so. The company is committed to meeting all relevant environmental legislation as well as all other external requirements relating to its business. This policy is communicated to an external audience as well as to all personnel who may work for or on behalf of the company. This policy is achieved through the implementation and continuous development of an Environmental Management System (EMS) that meets both the requirements of the international Standard ISO 14001:2004, as well as any statutory requirements that may apply to the business. Francotyp-Postalia is actively: • Checking that all machines manufactured since June 1st 2006 are RoHs compliant. • Reducing pollution by recycling and minimising landfill. • Using recyclable packaging wherever possible. • Using incoming delivery boxes to ship goods out wherever possible. • Remanufacturing machines and parts to very high standards, reducing the amount sent to landfill. • Encouraging staff to be energy efficient.
