Q. I have fitted my new rate chip and powered the scale on again, there is a backlight but no characters or writing displayed on the screen.
A. Your chip is not pushed down far enough. Please power off the scale, remove your rate chip and re-insert it, pressing it down firmly. Once you have done this, power the scale back on.
Q. I cannot remove my rate chip.
A. The rate chip is removed by pulling directly upwards.

Q. I have inserted my new Rate card and powered the scale back on but it is displaying “needs card” constantly.
A. Please switch off the scale again, remove the rate card and re-insert it so that the white sticker on the card is still clearly visible when the card is inserted.
Q. My scale has no power since I have changed the Rate card.
A. Please turn the scale keyboard over and check that the power cable is connected. Also, check the power cable is plugged into the wall socket and switched on.
