WHAT ARE THE ROYAL MAIL CHANGES IN 2013?

GOOD NEWS!! Royal Mail has now received confirmation from OFCOM of their approved price changes for 2013.  The Royal Mail and Parcelforce changes will be effective from TUESDAY 2 APRIL, 2013 and will continue to sustain the discounts available to franking customers - an outstanding saving of 34% per letter!!

From 2 April, Royal Mail will also be making changes to the way packets and parcels are priced to help you choose the most appropriate option for your needs. For more information on these changes, please click here

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY UPDATED RATES......?

If you have place an order or are a fully comprehensive, PLUS rental or warranty customer (within 12 months), then your rate card will have been sent to you prior to the rate change date of 2 April.

HOW DO I INSTALL MY NEW RATES….


….for centormail, ultimail, opti or mymail

Please ensure you do not install the chip until TUESDAY 2 APRIL, 2013 when the Royal Mail and Parcelforce changes come into effect. IS MY FRANKING MACHINE VAT COMPLIANT......?

Royal Mail refer to franking machines that can handle VAT as “SMART” meters.  The good news is that at the same time as updating your rates, we may also be able to offer you an update to your existing franking machine, making it VAT compliant with Royal Mail and HMRC requirements and future proof for any further VAT changes. If your franking machine is not yet SMART and you are interested in further information, please email us at fpratechange@fpmailing.co.uk , with your company name, account number and contact details.

Special Delivery before 9am
Special Delivery Saturday Guarantee
Special Delivery Next Day with consequential loss for over £1,000
International Airsure only to EU destinations (European Union)
Business mail

CAN I STILL PLACE AN ORDER…..?

Royal Mail’s Franking Legal Scheme stipulates that you need to ensure you are franking at the correct prices and they have recently introduced an 80p surcharge per under priced item. 

Therefore, to take advantage of the franking discounts and help you avoid any surcharges, you will need to purchase an updated rate card if you are a standard rental, mandatory meter or non contractual scale customer. We have a number of different options for our customers, whichever suits YOU best.  Our recent correspondence to you will have outlined your product specific options so if you have decided what you want to do, just click on the relevant option opposite and in a few easy steps your order will be complete. 

If you are a fully comprehensive, PLUS rental or warranty customer (within 12 months) and you only want updated rates, then you don’t need to do anything.  This will automatically be sent to you free of charge as part of your contract within a week of the rate change date of 2 April.

RATE CARD ONLY

If you are a standard rental, mandatory meter or non contractual scale customer and you only wish to have the updated rates for April 2013, you will have received an online RATE CARD code.  Just select this option, enter your details and your online code and we will send you your normal rate card.

SMART PACK INC NEW RATES

If you have emailed us at fpratechange@fpmailing.co.uk and we have confirmed we are able to update your existing franking machine to be VAT compliant, you will have been given an online SMART PACK code. All you need to do now is select this option, enter your details and online code and we will do the rest.
