Royal Mail - discounts and savings   With your FP Franking machine you will benefit from an extensive range of Royal Mail services and discounts. You will find that you can post your mail at the local post office, Royal Mail Enquiry Office’s, special franked mail posting boxes and even the majority of local post boxes. (Larger mailings will require use of Royal Mail’s Customer Collection Service please call Royal Mail direct on 08457 950950). In addition, you can select a whole range of services, obviously the standard first and second class deliveries, but also Parcel, Airmail, Airsure rates, Special Delivery and “Signed for Services”. The basic discount starts at 10% and this increases dependant on the type of mail you are sending. Further discounts are also available to FP Franking machine users through cleanmail and mail sort – Full details are available at www.royalmail.com or online enquiries can be made to FP direct. Don’t panic! If you under pay an item on your franking machine you can just add a second frank using one of the labels supplied by FP to “make up the difference”. However, if you happen to over frank, by mistake, you can reclaim this from Royal Mail (you will need to present the frank). There are certain Royal Mail requirements under the terms of your license which FP does arrange on your behalf. (These can be viewed at www.royalmail.com) To summarise these terms, you must let us know of any changes i.e. address or business name, which can all be done online in our Support Section. The image from your franking machine must be clear a legible and use the correct ink (Royal Mail approved). It is your responsibility to select the right rate for your type of postage which is made simple with FP’s range of scales and measuring equipment.         You are also required to present your mail in the right way which simply means that you bundle by class; format and service ensuring all addresses are facing the same way. (Royal Mail will supply you with the red and green pouches to do this) Royal Mail supply pouches, trays or mail bags dependant on the volume of mail you are processing and late mail envelopes are available from FP. (for smaller amounts you will want to put in your local post box).
