Royal Mail Rate Change 2010

EXCELLENT NEWS FOR FP CUSTOMERS IN 2010…..
Royal Mail has recently announced that there will be NO increase to their Inland Tariffs for franking machine users this year.  This is excellent news because although STAMP prices are increasing as of 6 April, 2010, your first and second class postage tariffs will NOT change.  This means that there is now an unprecedented 7p discount per letter off second class meter post and even 5p off First Class when franking rather than using stamps – up to a 22% saving!  Happy New Year!

ARE THERE ANY OTHER CHANGES THAT MAY EFFECT ME…..
There will also be changes to Royal Mail’s International and Added Value Services, including Recorded Signed For and Special Deliver.  Therefore, if you do use other Royal Mail Services for your post, you will need to order the updated chip to ensure your meter or scale is functioning with the latest rates.

Rate chips are supplied free of charge to our 6 month warranty scale customers and PLUS rental contracts and will be automatically sent within 2 weeks of the rate change date of 6 April.

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW…..
Rate chips will be despatched in the 2 weeks prior to the rate change date of 6 April, 2010 and can be easily self installed.  

Orders received after our deadline of 5 March will be subject to a £10.00 admin fee due to manufacturing requirements and we will be unable to guarantee delivery in time for the rate change.

Installation instructions will be included with your new rate chip and will also be available on our website once the chips have been despatched
