Royal Mail Rate Change 2010

Royal Mail has recently announced that there will be NO increase to their Inland Tariffs for franking machine users this year.  This is excellent news because although STAMP prices are increasing as of 6 April, 2010, your first and second class postage tariffs will NOT change.  This means that there is now an unprecedented 7p discount per letter off second class meter post and even 5p off First Class when franking rather than using stamps – up to a 22% saving!

However, there will be changes to Royal Mail’s International and Added Value Services, including Recorded Signed For and Special Delivery which may effect you and therefore, if you do use other Royal Mail Services for your post, you will need to order the updated chip to ensure your meter or scale is functioning with the latest rates.

If you would like more details about the specific rate changes, please visit Royal Mail

All of our customers who need to order the chip have been sent an order form so that they can purchase the updated rate chip.

For specific instructions on updating the rate chip for your machine click here

Place your order now at www.ratechange.fpmailing.co.uk and receive an online discount – don’t forget to input your promotional code which can be found on your order form.

Rate chips are supplied free of charge to our 6 month warranty scale customers and PLUS rental contracts

For non rental customers in South West England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, please contact your service provider (details can be found via our sales office locator)

Please be aware that in the past, Royal Mail have allowed an amnesty period of two weeks following a rate change where customers would not be surcharged during that time.  This is no longer the case, however, and Royal Mail have confirmed that there will be no 2 week period and all customers will be required to pay the correct postage from 6 April or face surcharges.

HOW DO I FIT THE UPDATED RATE CHIP?
The rate chip can be easily self installed and step by step instructions are included with your chip.  To download these instructions or for specific instructions on updating the rate chip for your machine click here. Please ensure you do not install the chip until TUESDAY 6 APRIL, 2010 when the rate changes come into effect.

I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY NEW RATE CHIP!
